Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do you work with?

I provide therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My approach is developmentally informed, meaning I tailor treatment to each client’s stage of life and unique needs.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA‑compliant telehealth sessions throughout California. Many clients choose telehealth for convenience, accessibility, or comfort.

Do you offer in‑person sessions?

Yes. I provide in‑person therapy in Solvang, serving clients in the Santa Ynez Valley and surrounding communities.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

I am in network with Cigna and Aetna.

I also work with clients who use out‑of‑network benefits or prefer private pay. If you are out of network, I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement through your insurance plan.

How long are sessions?

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions (75–90 minutes) are available upon request.

What is your therapeutic approach?

My work is grounded in psychodynamic and object relations theory, with additional training in cognitive‑behavioral, developmental, trauma‑informed, family systems, and play therapy modalities. I integrate these approaches based on each client’s needs.

What issues do you specialize in?

Common areas of focus include:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Autism spectrum and neurodiversity

  • Attachment and early relational patterns

  • Trauma, early loss, and intergenerational transmission

  • Parenting support

  • Relationship and communication challenges

  • Life transitions and identity development

  • Women’s mental health and postpartum concerns

You can read more on the About Dr. Hall page.

How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

The best way is to reach out for a brief consultation. This gives us a chance to discuss your needs, ask questions, and determine whether my approach feels like a good fit.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments are billed at the full session fee.

Do you provide a Good Faith Estimate?

Yes. Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of services. I’m happy to provide one upon request.

How do I get started?
